My mother has been a resident there since July 2023. We chose The Preserve because of the size and the layout. Instead of being locked up on some floor for dementia and Alzheimer’s, everyone is free to move about the one story building and sit in the lovely garden outside.
Although the last year has been bumpy with all the staff changes, the current management is excellent. It’s wonderful to go on Facebook and see a picture of mom enjoying one of the many activities they provide. With all the different nationalities and religions they try to celebrate all holidays.
Prior to moving into The Preserve, we had live in help and mom wouldn’t leave her bed. When we go to visit now, we have to track her down find her lol. She gets up every day, she dresses and she eats with everyone in the dining room. She’s doing really well. The new chef provides a variety of many wonderful meals.
Since mom doesn’t go out much, we have celebrated family birthdays with up to 15 people in the activity room.
I would highly recommend The Preserve to anyone!

Great location, caring staff and wonderful facilities. The director Susan runs a tight ship while she gets in the trenches with her staff, applying special touches, like making Arabic coffee for my mother who is a resident at The Preserve. It is clear that Susan, Tony, Med Techs and caregivers all love what they do. Grateful to all of them for the peace of mind they give us taking care of our mom.

When I first toured the Preserve I noticed an over-powering smell of urine in a few areas. I foolishly overlooked that because the facilities are new and impressive. Unfortunately, my mom was neglected here. Left in her room with the door shut most of the time. On a few visits I found urine on her floor, or her pants wet with urine. Her room wreaked of urine 90% of the time.
She drastically lost weight while living here. The food was unappetizing and I’m not sure if much attention was paid to the fact that she wasn’t eating it.
I was told by another resident’s family “they don’t come get them for meals”.
I watched some resident sit for 20-30 minutes when meals were slowly passed around.
Some of the staff was very kind, but there was a rapid turn over rate.
I’ve heard many sales pitches when touring facilities, but I found this one to be the most misleading. I was even told that my mother would “improve after living here”. And that a certain resident was “almost non-verbal when she arrived and now she talks and is so cognitively improved”. (I watched a promo video with that resident. she was just as verbal when she first arrived as she was the day I met her, a year after living there).
My mom has dementia. I saw zero attempts to use the Montessori method.
I would not recommend this facility.

I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to share my excitement about the new leadership in this building. Our entire family has noticed the difference in just the few weeks that Susan has been in this building. She is approachable, calm, and has the wisdom and experience. It even seems as though the staff are uplifted and feeling appreciated.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with this company has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. We were contracted by Preserve back in February to provide services for their residents. Since completion, we've spent over three months trying to collect the remaining balance owed to us. Each attempt to reach resolution has been met with empty promises and unreturned messages, with accountability seemingly absent at all levels of management—from the office manager Edie, to the director Michael.
This isn't just about money; it's about principle. Our nonprofit works hard to reinvest funds into the community, and every dollar matters. The lack of respect and professionalism shown by failing to meet their financial obligations speaks volumes about their operational integrity. They may present a polished exterior, but internally, it's a different story—chaos reigns, and accountability seems to be a foreign concept.
I urge potential clients and partners to think twice before engaging with this company. They may look like they have everything in order, but our experience has shown that their competence and reliability are severely lacking. Trust is the foundation of any professional relationship, and unfortunately, this company has shown they are not worthy of it.
