When I first toured the Preserve I noticed an over-powering smell of urine in a few areas. I foolishly overlooked that because the facilities are new and impressive. Unfortunately, my mom was neglected here. Left in her room with the door shut most of the time. On a few visits I found urine on her floor, or her pants wet with urine. Her room wreaked of urine 90% of the time.
She drastically lost weight while living here. The food was unappetizing and I’m not sure if much attention was paid to the fact that she wasn’t eating it.
I was told by another resident’s family “they don’t come get them for meals”.
I watched some resident sit for 20-30 minutes when meals were slowly passed around.
Some of the staff was very kind, but there was a rapid turn over rate.
I’ve heard many sales pitches when touring facilities, but I found this one to be the most misleading. I was even told that my mother would “improve after living here”. And that a certain resident was “almost non-verbal when she arrived and now she talks and is so cognitively improved”. (I watched a promo video with that resident. she was just as verbal when she first arrived as she was the day I met her, a year after living there).
My mom has dementia. I saw zero attempts to use the Montessori method.
I would not recommend this facility.

I recently toured The Preserve at Woodland Hills Assisted Living & Memory Care and was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the genuine kindness of the staff. The facility features bright, spacious areas and scenery, promoting a sense of community and relaxation. Their personalized approach to memory care and assisted living emphasizes dignity and independence, which truly stood out to me. With a variety of engaging activities and programs, it’s clear they are dedicated to enriching the lives of their residents. Overall, I highly recommend The Preserve for anyone seeking compassionate and attentive care for their loved ones.

The Preserve is such a special place. What I found that has made them 5 stars is their staff. The Activity Director is one of the best I have came across,Angel you rock. She truly loves and supports her residents. The Executive Director,Micheal, is so passionate about his residents and their well-being. They have a monistorty approach. The kindness comes within. And a shout out to Julie too, she showcases the community well. Take a tour see for yourself.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with this company has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. We were contracted by Preserve back in February to provide services for their residents. Since completion, we've spent over three months trying to collect the remaining balance owed to us. Each attempt to reach resolution has been met with empty promises and unreturned messages, with accountability seemingly absent at all levels of management—from the office manager Edie, to the director Michael.
This isn't just about money; it's about principle. Our nonprofit works hard to reinvest funds into the community, and every dollar matters. The lack of respect and professionalism shown by failing to meet their financial obligations speaks volumes about their operational integrity. They may present a polished exterior, but internally, it's a different story—chaos reigns, and accountability seems to be a foreign concept.
I urge potential clients and partners to think twice before engaging with this company. They may look like they have everything in order, but our experience has shown that their competence and reliability are severely lacking. Trust is the foundation of any professional relationship, and unfortunately, this company has shown they are not worthy of it.

This place is a poor establishment for the people working there and the residents. They are understaffed, management only look out for themselves, and they do not have enough supplies to take care of the residents like gloves, wipes and diapers. In fact they keep that stuffed locked up in the manager's office, where only the manager and her sister have the keys. They aren't there everyday, so on the weekends the rest of the staff are out of luck.
The residents pay and arm and a leg to stay there, and yet as mentioned before they're isn't enough people there to give proper care. Family of the residents have to buy wipes and diapers themselves, while the residents in hospice are the only ones who get to have them. One patient was so neglected they had MAGGOTS in their cancerous wounds!
The workers are so overworked and they aren't paid enough for all the work they do.
