Great spot with fantastic vibes—modern, sleek, and very well organized. Parking is plentiful and free, either right out front or in the surrounding shopping mall areas. Weekends get very busy, with a line at the door, but it moves surprisingly fast.
Once inside, there are a couple of lines, which actually gives you time to look at the menu and all the items on display. The service is absolutely impeccable—fast, efficient, and very thoughtful, especially if it’s your first visit. You order everything at one station, and depending on what you get, some items are handed to you right away while others are brought to your table. If you’re dining in, they give you a buzzer that cleverly guides the staff to your table, so you don’t have to stand up or wait around to pick up your food.
I was also impressed that there was no forced tip prompt at checkout—something that feels rare these days. That said, the service was so good that it actually made me want to leave a tip.
There’s a large outdoor patio with plenty of seating, as well as indoor tables. And of course, the food speaks for itself: everything is delicious and famously made on-site, which you can see as you walk through. The pastries were incredibly fresh and flaky. Prices are shockingly reasonable, especially for LA and considering the quality of both the food and the service.

If I could rate this place higher than 5 stars, I would!
Everything on the menu (from the sandwiches to the desserts) is amazing!!
The line up may appear long but it moves pretty quickly.
All reasonably priced and the place is spotless.
Highly recommended if you like French style breakfast with desserts.

Portos has a reputation which precedes itself. The first time I heard of it, my cousin brought a very good tiramisu cake to a family function. My mom said, "oh! Portos!" as though it's something I should have heard of before. I recently moved to Reseda and noted that there was a Portos nearby. I stopped in and found that the line was VERY long. But to offset the long line, Portos has a small army of servers behind the counter. So what looked like it might take 20 minutes actually only took 2 or 3 minutes. I was expecting high prices for a bakery of such reputation. But the prices were so reasonable that it shocked me a bit. Rather than purchase one or two items, I decided to order a small sampler so I could get a general idea of what their array of goods were like. I was impressed. The quality was very good. But I'm going to base my rating on my second visit to Portos. I spotted a new item in the window: The Lemon Raspberry Macaron. I brought it home, put it on a plate and got a fork. It was perfect! The lemon cream on the inside was perfect! And it was perfectly proportioned to complement the fresh raspberries on the outside. And the macaron added just the right flavor and texture to the composition. I repeat, it really was perfect. The next time I drive in the direction of Portos, I'm going to find it very difficult - perhaps impossible - to not go in and get another Lemon Raspberry Macaron.

When you go to California, you go to Porto’s! Be prepared to line up. The store is packed which tells you how great this place is. Brought home boxes of bread back to Canada so others can try their heavenly baked goods. We dined in and had their Cuban specialty. To be honest, it’s better than the food we had in Cuba.

Portos Food, Service and Atmosphere never fails. Speedy check in and checkout for the volume of traffic this location gets (its always busy). The con for this location is the parking area. It is limited and always hard to find open space. Go check it out.
