Hey there. Love the desserts Cheeserolls here at Portos. I just had an issue with an overcooked Caldo De Res. I only live 8 minutes away.
As soon as I got home I ate it straight out the bowl and it was soooo bitter! Everything was overcooked. Soup tasted like it was sitting for awhile all day. They put a lime in there and perhaps that could've killed the flavor and brought on the bitterness.
Im not trying to attack Portos. Just want to bring this to their attention for future references. I had to throw it away after 3 bites after waiting 15 minutes. Thank you.

Porto’s Northridge never disappoints. The staff is friendly, the service is fast (even when the line looks long), and everything tastes fresh and homemade. The pastries are incredible, especially the cheese rolls, guava strudel, and potato balls. You can tell they take pride in quality and consistency. The café area is clean and comfortable, perfect for a quick bite or a coffee break.

Porto's Bakery is an LA institution and an absolute must-visit for anyone with a sweet or savory craving. This Cuban-influenced bakery is famous for its incredible value and delicious treats.
The highlights: Don't miss the legendary Potato Balls (mashed potatoes filled with seasoned ground beef and fried) or the sweet, flaky Cheese Rolls and Guava and Cheese Strudel (Refugiado). The lines are often long, but they move surprisingly fast thanks to their efficient system.
It's the perfect spot for affordable, high-quality pastries, cakes, and sandwiches to treat yourself or feed a crowd!

I am extremely disappointed with both the service and the condition of the products I received. My family and I had planned ahead for the holidays, and I was responsible for bringing dessert. I was genuinely excited to bring Porto’s, as it has always been a family favorite.
We placed our online order a day in advance to avoid any last-minute rush and scheduled a pickup time of 7:00 PM. I did not receive my order until 7:35 PM, which I was understanding about given the holiday crowds.
However, what I found unacceptable was the condition of the order upon pickup. The cake was placed sideways, and the flan had leaked all over the packaging. This completely ruined the presentation and made what should have been a special part of our celebration very upsetting.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience, especially considering the effort made to plan ahead and the high expectations we’ve always had of Porto’s.
