My family and I stopped by this Panera bread to get some coffee and pastries. The place was extremely warm inside, no one at the registers and when an attendant finally came, he was talking on the phone and asked us to give him a minute. So far, everything was okay. We ordered 1 iced coffee and 1 hot coffee. When we got our cups, we went to get iced coffee but it smelled funny so I lifted the lid from the container just to find but the coffee literally had mold. We told the staff and the woman in charge had the audacity to try to fight me back and tell me they change the coffee daily, clearly not the case. The coffee from the hot containers was COLDDD and I had to warm it up in the microwave myself, lol. The same woman, again, told me they were closing in an hour and they were not going to make a new batch. We got a refund for both coffees but this was by far the worst experience we have ever had at a Panera. Customer service sucked ass, atmosphere was uncanny af and obviously, the drinks were so bad. We will contact corporate since these people clearly don’t care.

It's no wonder why they have such low scores.
The sandwiches with chicken or ham come in bits and pieces like the scraps leftover from slicing, yet I've never seen a slice. It's been like this for years. I have complained. They give you a coupon, but that doesn't resolve the issue. The soups look and taste like they came from a can. The salads are mediocre. If they're going to put out low quality food, they shouldn't be charging what they charge. I feel bad for the staff. They look very unhappy. I can't remember when I last saw someone there give me a smile.

I honestly hate leaving reviews like this, but this Panera Bread in the Janss Marketplace really needs some attention. I’ve been here a few times hoping things would improve, but it just keeps getting worse.
First thing you notice when you walk in is how dirty everything feels. The floors had trash and food scraps all over. Tables were sticky and left uncleaned for way too long. It just makes you wonder if anyone is actually checking on the dining area.
What really bothered me was all the little gnats flying around everywhere. They were by the soda machine, in the bathroom, and even hovering around the tables. It’s pretty gross to see bugs circling over pastries and cups and just floating around while you’re trying to eat.
The service was so slow it felt like nobody was in any hurry to help customers. There weren’t many people in line, but it still took about 20 minutes to get my food. When it finally came out, it looked carelessly thrown together.
The bathroom was honestly awful. It smelled terrible, like old sewage. There was toilet paper all over the floor and the sink area was a mess. The soap dispenser was leaking everywhere. It was the kind of bathroom you just try to get in and out of as fast as you can.
It’s sad because Panera is supposed to be a comfortable place to grab lunch or coffee, but this location feels completely neglected. It almost feels disrespectful to the customers that nobody seems to care how bad it has gotten.
I really hope the company steps in and does something because it shouldn’t be this hard to keep a restaurant clean and welcoming. Until then, I’d recommend going somewhere else.

Nice Panera location in Thousand Oaks. The food was fresh, per other Panera locations. The service was great. I witnessed one employee take care of a couple in need of a to-go box and another employee getting rave reviews from a catering customer. Nice stop!

Very rude customer service ordered a bagel ahead of time went there after 10 mins they made me wait another 10 minutes keep in mind for a bagel and also ordered a drink right there asked the guy to give me the cup so I can fill my drink a red hair rude african america women comes and intrupts telling him no he has to wait even tho I just need a cup so if you don't like being disrespected and treated rudely don't ever go here. Even their own employees are being miss treated by the african American lady (owner) and other african Americans they have as manager. I used to order before they come and they were super nice but the new team is just trash.
