I finally had the chance to visit Porto's Bakery & Cafe in Burbank, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The building itself is a local landmark with its beautiful and iconic architecture that stands out on the corner.
As soon as you step inside, you are greeted by an amazing atmosphere and the sight of endless rows of fresh pastries, cakes, and breads. The display cases are filled with everything from their famous cheese rolls to colorful, high-quality cakes that look like pieces of art.
For lunch, I tried one of their signature sandwiches served with crispy plantain chips and a fresh orange juice. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The staff is very efficient and friendly, even when the place is busy.
Whether you are looking for a quick savory snack like their potato balls or a full meal, this place is a must-visit in Burbank. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Five stars!

It's worth the wait, it's worth the price.
Coming in, parking might be a bit tough but there is street parking on all corners and near the dealership. There is a person to greet you, direct you to which line, and make sure the line isn't backed up which I appreciate.
The menu is pretty self explanatory. There are a few people taking orders. They'll walk with you down the line of sweets they've got, help you pick as well.
The food all tasted great. My steak sandwich was perfect, and I'd come back just for that.

I wish I could've ordered one of everything. The bakery items are so fresh and super reasonably priced! We ordered their brewed coffee which was organic and had great flavor. We also loved the breakfast and lunch items. Our favorite was the medianoche sandwhich.

I've had Porto's delivered before, but this was my first time going in. I decided to brave the lines, and it was so very worth it! The service was amazing (thank you Natalia!), and the food was exceptional! I just moved to the area, and I'll definitely be a regular at Porto's!

Porto’s Bakery on Magnolia Blvd is huge and very busy. They have a big menu with lots of sandwiches and pastries.
However, if you are vegan, the options are very limited. Also, even for everyone else, the food was just okay. The pastries were fine, but nothing really stood out to me.
We spent close to $70 for five people, which felt expensive for what we got. Because of that, the hype did not match the experience for us.
Overall, it’s not bad, but I personally don’t see why people line up for it.
